Clay to fire

when sculpting without armatures, a pencil is always very useful !:):) hopefully it will bot explode in the kiln!

Spot the pencil!

Starting the teaching season- Studio is up and running

Finally the studio is sorted and the marquee is up. Hopefully, it will stay up and not fly up in the air with the wind. Had to dig a bit of the garden out as the marquee is 20ft x 10ft long, my studio is 24ft x 12 ft so a fantastic place to do sculpture over the summer....

one work that I started last year...and I really need to finish it!

this is a work that I started last year :):) I really need to finish it at some point ( after finishing few commissions). I have been thinking around this piece of work. It is for the moment too "polished" for my taste so need to review the composition of the work.

bulldog head study - Terracota

I have now finished the bulldog head study in clay. i am happy with the result. This is only a little sketch so I will try to get it fired in the kiln and fingers crossed....it will not crack or explode:)
here is the final clay, it is about 25-30 cm high. also couple of nice little sketches.

Voila la petite tete de bulldog anglais. C'est une etude et je suis assez contente avec le resultat. Je vais la garder en terre et avec un peu de chance, ca ne va pas casser dans le four!:) voici aussi 2 petit croquis d'etudes.

Levade sculpture

I am at the moment catching up on the lost f time due to the weather in Dec/January. The clay froze and cracked so had to re-do a fair amount of the work.

Little Elvis is tired!

My little Elvis falling asleep... would be a great sculpture!
